Baby Jogger at Fashion Week with Desert Designs

Baby Jogger Supports Desert Designs at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia

The Baby Jogger Company®, creator of popular stroller models such as the City Mini and City Select, stepped out in fashion this week at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia.

With the support of Baby Jogger, Desert Designs gave the fashion industry an exclusive sneak peek of their upcoming kidswear collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on Monday. Five little ones modelled the adorable new Desert Designs children’s line; the style factor was amped up by the mini fashionista’s mode of transport - the Baby Jogger City Mini, the preferred choice of fashion-forward mums worldwide.

Celebrating the indigenous culture with bright indigenous prints, each Desert Designs collection features prints that come from the works of the indigenous artist Jimmy Pike. The Desert Designs Spring/Summer 2014/15 collection, ‘Together, Towards the Water’, is inspired by three of Jimmy Pike's stories and models such as Samantha Harris walked the runway revealing the new collection.

With the new Baby Jogger re-launch this year everything is evolving with a new logo, corporate colours and stroller colours to ensure Baby Jogger remains stylish and at the forefront of innovation.

Lassig Green Label Urban Bag

We participated in the Kidspot mum say review for the Lassig – Green Label Urban Bag

Have a read below of the great reviews we recieved for one of our gorgeous nappy bags

Trendy and deceptively large!

My first impression of this nappy bag was that it looked too small from the outside, especially now that I have two children (toddler and new born). However, I was pleasantly surprised that it can hold everything I need and still has enough room for the emergency supplies.

I love that from the outside this bag doesn't look like a nappy bag; giving me the feeling that I have dressed up for my outing when really I'm lugging around nappies.

For me, compartments is the most important aspect of a nappy bag as it helps keep some sort of order to the chaos. This bag definitely has all the compartments / features I require. This bag has two main compartments (one for each of my children), a water proof pocket
(great for soiled clothes or food), two phone pockets (one which I use for a small pack of tissues), pockets for nappies and a great change mat. I love the little hook for my keys as I always lose these in my bag. The bag also includes a bottle holder, compartments for jars and a zip pouch all which are removable to meet the changing needs of my family.

The compartment for baby-wipes doesn't hold the standard Huggies hard travel pack so I don't use this feature.

Although it can pass as a hand-bag, my husband feels it is gender neutral enough that he is happy to carry it around (as long as he has the kids).

It would be nice to have a long shoulder strap as there are times when I would like to sling it over my body or to the stroller handles. It does come with stroller hooks, that I was quite impressed with, however sometimes I just need the quick option to hang the bag on the pram.

It's a very light weight bag and made of 100% recycled polyester. It appears durable and easy to clean, however, I have not had the bag long enough to confirm this.

Overall I am very happy with this bag - its appearance, size and versatility. It's a great bag, however, it isn't cheap. One must remember you use a nappy bag for many years so investing in a good and reliable bag, like this, is important. If buying a eco-friendly bag or a trendy nappy bag is important to you then this bag is definitely worth the purchase.

Practical AND Stylish :)

My first impression of the Lassig Green Label Urban Bag was that it was very stylish and also quite a compact nappy bag. The colour is black melange, with the Lassig emblem on the front as well as a cute little hanging metal emblem and an external zip pocket on the other side for those items you want to be able to get to quickly. The bag is eco-friendly, being made of recycled PET, yet the bag feels soft but very sturdy.

Open the bag and you find it expands to give a very large main compartment as well as a large secondary compartment. It's lined with a bright lime green fabric which is hand washable, although I haven't had to try this as yet. The main compartment has two mobile phone type pockets with flaps, three pen holders (or they could be used for baby spoons) another zippered compartment as well as a baby wipe dispenser and pocket containing a good-sized change mat in the black melange fabric. The two large compartments are separated by a large zippered wet compartment, which could easily be wiped clean. The secondary smaller (yet still quite large) compartment contains two mesh pockets and two elastic-topped pockets which could hold jars of baby food. This can be unclipped and removed to give even more space within the bag.

Additional to the bag itself is a large insulated zip-top insulated bag for bottles as well as a small zippered pouch which could carry items like baby spoons, pacifiers or odds and ends. There are two loops that can be attached to two little metal loops on the outside of the bag and hung on a pram. These additional features can all be kept organized within the bag by keeping attached to an internal loop when not in use. I love the key attachment inside the bag - no more foraging for car keys in the bottom of the bag!

It really is surprising how much is inside this bag, and it is all contained safely by zipping up the bag. No more overflowing bag contents with this nappy bag!

Overall, I'm really impressed with this nappy bag. They seem to have thought of everything and there is just so much space inside. There's a place for everything. And with its stylish appearance this nappy bag could be used as a handbag long after the baby is out of nappies!
